Meditation Wars is intended to bring humor into difficult situations, but we realize that our platform has the potential to do harm.
Steps to Prevent Abuse
We have taken steps to prevent abuse of our platform, and we take any malicious use of our platform very seriously. We have a zero tolerance policy for any form of abuse, and we will take appropriate action to protect our users.
- Explicit Consent: All users must explicitly consent to participate in Meditation Wars. This means that users must agree to our terms of service and community guidelines before they can create an account or participate in any way. We insist that every user is in on the joke and appreciates the potential harm that can be caused by our platform before receiving or using any meditation, or crafting one for someone else.
- Disclosures: We have disclosures in place for every meditation to ensure that users know up front about any potentially triggering languange. Content disclosures are applied automatically when a meditation is created or modified. These disclosures are presented in a clear and concise manner, and users must acknowledge that they have read and understood them before they can proceed.
- Blocking and Reporting: We have a blocking and reporting system in place that allows users to block any user or any specific types of content which they do not want to receive and (if appropriate) report any inappropriate or harmful behavior. We take these reports very seriously and will investigate them promptly.
- Community Guidelines: We have a set of community guidelines that all users must agree to when they sign up for Meditation Wars. These guidelines outline our expectations for behavior on our platform and the consequences for violating them. Further, each meditation is verified to adhere to our community guidelines before it is published.
- Privacy: Meditations and other content is private by default. Users must explicitly share their content with others, and we do not share any user data with third parties without explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
- Safety Measures: We have implemented safety measures to protect our users, such as requiring users to verify their email addresses.
Supporting Mental Health
Even when no harm is intended, we recognize that inner work and self reflection can be a delicate process. We are committed to supporting the mental health of our users. We provide links to resources for mental health support directly in the app when crafting and when receiving a meditation.
